The brainstorm was the first thing i did, and is where i got my idea's for the 2 you'll find on the previous post. (Apologies for the poor quality, scanner was down)
Like most idea's i had a few prior to the final design, below are the few that i whipped out and i'll write what i planned on doing with them.
My first idea, which i came up on with the day of the pairing with Jack was to kind of do an inside of the mouth (Pastilles talking to each other) kind of strange advert like the Cream egg adverts, Anthropomorphism of the pastilles, and it'd end in them all being "chewed". I'm not the strongest on story building, that's why we had the advertisers :).
I got the 2nd idea from a Durex play advert ;
I used the whole "Close up on the faces" to give the emotion of chewing on a pastille. The scene would just but 2 people sitting on a chair, slipping a pastille into there mouths and trying to fight the need to chew. The drawings below explain what i wanted to do.
We were told to create a 30 second advertisement to sell "Rowntrees fruit pastilles". The idea was to entice children into buying Rowntrees fruit pastilles again.
The age range given was 3-13 (Also 20-40 for the parents), so the advert didn't need to be contrived, it just needs to be simple and appeal to a broad range.The idea was that children are attracted to things that are friendly, funny and colourful..so some kind of mascot would have to be invented that would once again appeal to children and adults.
(Things like the kiora adverts were given as examples).
